Simple & Fun Rug Made With Yarn Scraps

Last fall I had made several scarves with a variety of “Pom Pom” style yarns. These yarns are so soft and fun! I had scraps left of several different colors and wondered what to do with them…so…here is what I decided to do!

Fun with Yarn scraps

I crocheted this fun and colorful rug using a large crochet hook and a simple single crochet stitch. The yarn I used was Loops & Threads Pom Pom Fashion Yarn, but any pom pom yarn will do.

Just start with a chain 6-8 inches long  for the center base, then crochet all the way around with single crochet stitches. All you have to do is increase stitches occasionally when going around on the ends so that it will lay flat.  Just crochet 2 stitches into the same stitch as needed as you make your way around the curves.

I chose to do a few rounds of each color at a time, but you could do this however you wish… just use your imagination and crochet away!  Fun and Easy!

I wish I would have had more scraps left so that I could have made it bigger.
Love the way it turned out!
