(2014)  Local artist, Craig Rhodes was featured on WSIU’s Expressions television series.    Expressions showcases the creative abilities, techniques, and inspirations of Southern Illinois artists. The show’s producer, Rajvee Subramanian, approached Angie’s Originals in Metropolis to learn more about local artists in the Metropolis area.

Following several discussions, Craig Rhodes was invited to Carbondale where a studio interview was held at WSIU, the southern Illinois PBS affiliate.  The crew from Expressions then visited Rhodes’ studio in Massac County where they captured video for the episode.

Rhodes’ pottery, as well as works by other potters and artists, can been seen at Angie’s Originals, 312 E. 5th St. in Metropolis. Owner Angie Sivori explains that she started her business 3 years ago as a way to provide a place for local artisans to display and sell their works. Originals now features works by over 25 local and regional artists as well as fair trade items made by artisans from around the world.
